Two Classic 1970s SPIDER-MAN Prose Novels Are Back — Sort Of

Time for some summer reading — PAUL KUPPERBERG style…

The swingin’ 1970s Marvel Novel Series may be long gone but you can get two Spider-Man installments by Paul Kupperberg for a relative song if you’re looking for some groovy summer reading.

Paul — a 13th Dimension columnist, as if you didn’t know — wrote The Amazing Spider-Man: Crime Campaign (#8 in the series) and The Hulk and Spider-Man: Murdermoon (#11), both of which were published in 1979 via Pocket Books.

Anyway, Paul’s been making them available on pdf for only $7 each. They’re scanned from the original pages — including Bob Larkin’s grand covers.

Such a deal — and an unconventionally cool way to celebrate Spidey’s 60th anniversary.

So, if you want them, go to your friendly neighborhood PayPal account and send the moolah to Paul’s account at Pkupperberg@gmail.com. (Paul asks you to please use the friends and family option.)

Now, get readin’!

  1. I have Crime Campaign, but I need Murdermoon. I needs that physical copy for my Spidey collection.

    • I bought both of these (i.e., the pdf files) from Mr. Kupperberg a while back. I really like that he’s making these available this way and wish that the authors of the other books – the ones who are still with us, anyway – would do the same thing.

  2. Still have my originals. Need to figure out what the complete run was to see what I missed.

  3. I’m curious as to how Mr. Kupperberg is doing this re: the rights situation. Because I’m pretty sure Marvel/Disney would come after me if I tried this with the young adult Spider-Man novel I ghostwrote in 1998, or the X-men novel trilogy I wrote from 2000 to 2002. It’d be nice to do, but, y’know, lawyers. 😉

    • Your X-Men trilogy was great! I got rid of some of my Marvel novels, but I kept those.
