This year, for our SUPER-STAR HOLIDAY SPECIAL, I asked writers and artists to name their favorite comics-related gift.

Italian artist Andrea Sorrentino was high on my list this year. I’m a big fan of his work: He’s frequently in our Best VARIANTS round-up and his Green Arrow with Jeff Lemire was the best Emerald Archer material we’ve gotten since the launch of the New 52.

Little did I know that Andrea’s favorite superhero gift was going to involve my favorite character … — Dan

It’s probably this metal Batmobile I got from my parents back in ’92. It was coupled with Penguin’s yellow duck vehicle from Tim Burton’s Batman Returns, but this is the only one that survived my childhood.

I was only 10 at the time and I was pretty used to playing with Hot Wheels cars, but the chance to play with the Batmobile among the other random cars was simply mind-blowing to my young brain!
