Simonson’s STAR WARS Gets Artist’s Edition Treatment

About five months from now, in a galaxy right here…

IDW really has some cool stuff cooking this summer for old-school Marvel fans. Not only are we getting a hardcover reprinting the House of Ideas’ classic pin-ups — a Yoe Books production — we’re also getting the Walter Simonson Star Wars Artist’s Edition this July:

Here’s the official solicitation blurb:

Walter Simonson Star Wars Artist’s Edition

Various (w) • Walter Simonson & Tom Palmer (a) • Walter Simonson (c)

Comics legends Walter Simonson and Tom Palmer collaborated on a wonderful run of Star Wars comics in the early 1980s, before the release of The Empire Strikes Back. Like all Artist’s Editions, each page has been meticulously scanned from the original art (from the personal archives of both artists) and presented at 100 percent of actual size.

The 12″ x 17″, black-and-white 144-pager will list for $125.
