SDCC: Congrats to the 2015 EISNER Winners!

Gonna have to get that Steranko Artist’s Edition!

Newsarama has the full list, but among the more notables here at the 13th Dimension Secret HQ:

— Two of our fave publishers — IDW and Boom! — did really well, so a tip of the cape to them! Lumberjanes stood tall for Boom! and Little Nemo, Steranko’s SHIELD and Alex Toth books carried the night for IDW.

Darwyn Cooke‘s variant covers for DC were utterly beautiful and deserved honors.

Little Nemo won for three different publishers — IDW, Locust Moon and Taschen. Long live Winsor McKay!

— It wasn’t nominated in the category, but Marvel‘s Silver Surfer by Dan Slott and Mike and Laura Allred was the best ongoing I read last year. Just my two cents.

Gene Luen Yang is a great writer and I’m glad to see him get the Eisner. That was one helluva field of writers. His Superman could be terrific.

— Congratulations to all the winners!
