The Loch Ness Monster in Riverdale?! PLUS: A salute to The Archies!

Archie Comics continues to celebrate its 80-year history Sept. 1 with the release of Archie 80th Anniversary Jumbo Comics Digest #4, including a new story — “Pour Some Sugar, Sugar on Me!” — written by Dan Parent.

As the title suggests, it’s a love letter to the legacy of The Archies. You can check out an EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW — featuring art by Parent, Bob Smith, Glenn Whitmore and Jack Morelli — below.

But we’ve got more for ya! Also included in this dandy edition is a 60-year-old Betty and Veronica story by Frank Doyle and Dan DeCarlo, from 1961’s Archie’s Girls Betty and Veronica #71. You can read the whole thing below, as well. Is that swell or what?

And you know what’s cool? The series includes lots of editorial notes that explain the context of the stories and why they were selected for inclusion.

Dive in!
