EXCLUSIVE Preview: Edgar Allan Poe’s SNIFTER OF TERROR #4

The dead birthday boy would have been 210 years old!

If he lived, of course. Which he didn’t because who lives to be 210?

Whatever.

Anyway, Poe was born Jan. 19, 1809, and we’ve got a birthday present — for you!

See, the riotous Edgar Allan Poe’s Snifter of Terror #4 is out 1/23 from AHOY Comics, and here’s an EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW to feast your bloodshot eyes upon.

But first I wish to quoth Tom Peyer, AHOY’s venerable editor-in-chief:

“I don’t like wishing ‘Happy Birthday’ to dead people, but I’ll make an exception in Edgar Allan Poe’s case. The Poe of our imaginations would be too drunk to comprehend it by this time of day anyway. While it’s sad that he’s been reduced to introducing stories in our comic book, Edgar Allan Poe’s Snifter of Terror, it’s a consolation that the stories are so good. First-time comics writer Bryce Ingman turned in a masterpiece with Some Words With A Mummy in our upcoming Issue #4, and Greg Scott’s art elevated it further. The Murders In The Rue Morgue, by Mark Rahner and Alan Robinson, The Black Cat, by Hunt Emerson, and Le Duc de Omelette, by Kek-W and Lee Carter are the icing on a rum-soaked cake. I hope Poe would accept our Issue #4 as the birthday gift we intend—once the room stops spinning.”
