Dig DAVE DORMAN’s Variant Cover For CHARLIE’S ANGELS #1

“Once upon a time…”

Hey, didja hear that Charlie’s Angels is coming to comics?

It’s true. Dynamite Comics, whose forte is licensed and public-domain characters, has scooped up the rights to the ’70s TV megahit and Issue #1 — by John Layman and Joe Eisma — is due 6/13.

Not only that, there’s a special variant cover by illustrator Dave Dorman that will be exclusive to the Salt City Comic-Con in Syracuse, N.Y., on July 7-8.

Here’s your FIRST LOOK, Angels:

Only 800 copies will be printed. It will be on sale at the show and will also come with VIP packages. (Click here for more info.) Dorman will be one of the top comics/art guests in case you want to get it signed.

“All of us at Syracuse’s Salt City Comic-Con are thrilled to offer this Charlies’ Angels #1 variant cover,” said SCCC spokesman Ed Catto. “We love everything about it: Dave Dorman’s amazing artwork, the strong, beautiful characters, and especially the nod to Central New York.”

That’s the Carrier Dome, one of upstate New York’s best-known landmarks, on the cover with the Angels.

“Syracuse is really stepping up to embrace this convention and the fans,” Catto added.
