A SNEAK PEEK at TwoMorrows’ forthcoming pop-culture history of the most wonderful time of the year…
It’s been a long, strange, grim year already and I’m sure there are plenty of folks who really can’t wait for Christmas this year.
Well, it’s Sept. 1, so we’ve got some time yet but here’s a SNEAK PEEK that will get your chestnuts roasting early: TwoMorrows this November will be publishing Holly Jolly by Mark Voger, an illustrated history of Christmas in pop culture — from comics to film to music to TV to toys, you name it.
Just dig the table of contents:
The book is patterned after Voger’s Groovy, which took a similar approach to the 1960s. (You can click here for more on that.)
And though it is a tad early to get into the Christmas spirit, here are just a few pages to give you a whiff of egg nog:
Holly Jolly is a 192-page hardcover. It lists for $43.95 and will be released about Nov. 4. It will be available at comics shops and booksellers but you can already pre-order it directly from TwoMorrows. (Click here.)
