BRONZE AGE TV Tie-In Comics to Get Special Celebration

From screen to page, thanks to Back Issue

Back Issue later this year plans to release a two-issue look at the often-forgotten TV tie-in comics of the Bronze Age — both live action and cartoons.

Dig these descriptions from publisher TwoMorrows:

Back Issue #129

“TV Toon Tie-ins” issue! A few thoughts:

— This concept is long overdue and big credit to editor Michael Eury for pulling these issues together. It’s really easy to forget just how many TV comics there used to be — and it’s amazing to see some of the profoundly surprising titles that existed, even if only for a few issues. I marvel at this every month during BRONZE AGE BONANZA, as well as during our weekly RETRO HOT PICKS.

Back Issue #128 is due June 23 and Back Issue #129 is scheduled for July 21. Both are subject to change, however, thanks to the vagaries of publishing today.

— Both issues, $9.95 each, will be available at comics shops and through magazine sellers, but you can also order them directly from TwoMorrows. They are up for pre-order now. (Click here.)
