BATBOOK OF THE WEEK — Convergence: Batman and Robin #1

This is a no-brainer.

For the next two months, Convergence means a strange time for Batbooks. None of the regular DCU titles will be publishing, but there will be plenty of opportunities to visit with old friends. Or something like that.

Anyway, the event kicks off in earnest this week, and the easy pick is Batman and Robin #1 by Ron Marz, Denys Cowan and Klaus Janson.

I don’t think I need to say anything else.

ALSO ON THE BATSHELVES THIS WEEK: Peter Tomasi, late of Batman and Robin, is writing part of the Arkham Knight book and print Issue #2 will be out. There’s also Convergence: Batgirl #1, featuring Pre-52 Stephanie BG, Cassie Cain and Red Robin. There’s also Convergence: Harley Quinn #1, co-starring Poison Ivy and Catwoman. This seems to really be Gotham City Sirens, given the cover design, but Harley is so hot right now, she gets the solo-billing treatment. Then there’s Convergence: Nightwing/Oracle #1. I’m supposed to be excited by this. I’m not.
