ARTIST ALLEY COMICS: Five Creators Putting Their Hearts Into It

Chris Kemple, Rich Woodall, Kelly Yates, Craig Rousseau and Richard Case are the heart of Artist Alley Comics — a community of creators you need to know, if you don’t know already.

This week is New York Comic Con, which is basically the finale of the major con season. There will be announcements, there will be glitz, there will be a heavy amount of focus on Big, Big, Big.

But that’s only one part of the comics world. This week, we’re gonna show you another part: The world of the webcomic creator who’s throwing everything into it without the benefit of the Machine.

Most importantly? These guys are good. You may know some of their work for other publishers, you may not. But this week, we’re going to profile five guys who form the core of Artist Alley Comics, which has been at it for a couple years now. They’re also going to write WHAT I’M READING columns this month, so you can see what they’re into.

So dig what these guys are up to and look for their individual profiles this week:

Chris Kemple is the writer and artist on Red Vengeance, a period pulp comic. You can see his WHAT I’M READING column here.

Craig Rousseau and Rich Woodall produce Kyrra: Alien Jungle Girl, which is also going to appear in Dark Horse Presents.

Kelly Yates is the creator of MonstHer and Richard Case is the mind behind Annie Ammo.

These guys also have other projects in the works and you’ll get a taste of those too!

Stick around.
