13 TARZAN COVERS: An EDGAR RICE BURROUGHS Birthday Celebration

Featuring the Marvel art of Big John Buscema!

The late Edgar Rice Burroughs, who created some of the most enduring pulp characters ever — most notably Tarzan — was born 146 years ago on Sept. 1, 1875.

Tarzan, of course, has a long association with comic books and comic strips, so to celebrate Burroughs’ Lord of the Jungle, we bring you 13 COVERS published by Marvel in the late ’70s — all pencilled by the great John Buscema.

(Oh, and if you want to see 13 COVERS by the incomparable Joe Kubert, click here.)
