13 COVERS: A RICH BUCKLER Birthday Celebration

The late Bronze Age favorite was born 73 years ago…

The late Rich Buckler — born 73 years ago on Feb. 6, 1949 — worked on just about every Marvel or DC character you could think of, in some capacity or another.

But there’s little doubt his most popular creation was Marvel’s Deathlok, who debuted in 1974’s Astonishing Tales #25.

Amazingly, I have to say, we’ve never done a full-on Deathlok gallery, so that’s what we’re doing for this year’s 13 COVERS birthday salute. (Actually, it’s 10 covers and three splash pages, but you get it.)

Right on.

    • Always loved Deathlok. I think issue 25 was also George Perez’s first professional work.
