13 COVERS: A JOE SINNOTT Birthday Celebration

One of comics’ greatest inkers was born 95 years ago…

The late, great Joe Sinnott — born 95 years ago on Oct. 16, 1926 — was easily one of the greatest inkers ever to walk the Earth. He left behind an extraordinary body of work and, naturally, he was best known for his Silver Age collaboration with Jack Kirby on Fantastic Four.

Well, it’s been a while since we did 13 COVERS of Sinnott’s inks over Kirby on FF, so that’s the well we’re going back to for this year’s birthday tribute.

There are a ton of famous covers that aren’t here simply because I wanted to highlight a bunch that we’ve either never run before, or rarely have.

So dig these 13 COVERS — each one Fantastic.

  1. All classics…. Marvel firing on all cylinders. Speaking of the classics, I see there are some new collections coming out from that era. Hopefully the pricing is reasonable. Linked to the one on Cap but they also list Spider-Man and Black Panther.

  2. FF #82 is one of my all time favorite comic covers. Perfection from Kirby and Sinnott.
