13 COVERS: A DAVE GIBBONS Birthday Celebration

One of the biggest names in comics turns 69…

If Dave Gibbons had only done Watchmen with Alan Moore, he could have hung up his pencil, pen and paper right there and his work would have been remembered for decades.

That’s a legacy.

As it happens, of course, Gibbons has done much more than that and we’ve got a 13 COVERS celebration that highlights some of his best work for DC Comics. (Naturally, there’s plenty of other publishers I could have picked from, including, say, 2000 AD, Dark Horse, Marvel, you name it. But DC it is this time.)

Gibbons was born April 14, 1949. His gentlemanly dignity has lifted comics for more than 40 years.

Dig it.

DC/Marvel, of course
