13 COVERS: A CARMINE INFANTINO FLASH Celebration

Batman and the Flash. The Flash and Batman. For me, the two are intertwined where Carmine Infantino is concerned.

This year, as I’ve done before, I’m dedicating two 13 COVERS salutes to one of my all-time favorite artists — Carmine Infantino, who would have been 92 — one featuring the Caped Crusader (which you can find here), the other starring the Scarlet Speedster. I’m well aware that Infantino worked on so much more than these two heroes but these are the ones I immediately think of when I think of Infantino, and it will always be that way. Plus, he did so many cool covers for both that there are still plenty to choose from without repeating myself much (click here, here and here for some past salutes). I’ve even included some of his later Bronze Age work here.
