The WILL EISNER Centennial Celebration

Gathering our best for the best.

Will Eisner was born March 6, 1917, meaning he would have been 100 years old this week.

Normally, we do a 13 COVERS celebration but in this case, I’d prefer to put the spotlight on the artists he influenced through his decades on The Spirit, A Contract With God and myriad other ground-breaking works.

Over the last few years, we’ve had the good fortune of having some of the top creators in comics select their favorite Eisner stories or splash pages — including three — Darwyn Cooke, Matt Wagner and Francesco Francavilla — who by now have worked on Eisner’s signature character, The Spirit.

We’ve gathered the best here. Below you will find links to each story — and believe me, they are worth perusing.
