Last year, the Spirit’s previous cartoonist — Darwyn Cooke — picked Eight Eisner Stories Every Fan Should Read for us here at 13th Dimension.

This year, we decided to spread the wealth and asked some of the industry’s foremost artists — including the likes of Francesco Francavilla and Sandy Jarrell – to pick their favorite Eisner splash pages.

“I know it’s not exactly “Splash Page” material, but these two Harvey comics have always been an Eisner/Spirit fave of mine! When I FINALLY discovered The Spirit my senior year in high school. I began going beyond the recent reprints by Warren and into other realms I could devour.
