HOT PICKS! On Sale This Week!

Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to this week …

Scott Tipton, co-owner, Blastoff Comics, North Hollywood, Calif.

Superwoman #1, DC. I have no idea what to expect from this book, but I’ve always enjoyed Phil Jimenez’s work, so I’ll give it a try, and opt for the Terry Dodson cover.

All-New All-Different Avengers Annual #1, Marvel. I can’t resist the notion of an issue full of Kamala Khan’s fan fiction.

Thor Epic Collection: Runequest TPB, Marvel. A nice run of overlooked 1980s Thor tales here.

A lot of DC for me this week…

Superwoman #1, DC. Pretty much what Scott said. But also check out 13 COVERS from when Lois Lane was Super in the past! (Click here. It’s fun!)

Action Comics #961, DC. The Superbooks have been a lot of fun and we keep getting clues about this Watchmen business, too. By Dan Jurgens, Stephen Segovia and Art Thibert.

New Super-Man #2, DC. I love Justice League analogues within the DCU and so I’m looking forward to what Gene Luen Yang, Viktor Bogdanovic and Richard Friend have cooking.

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #2, DC. I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far in Rebirth where Hal’s concerned. And now that the Corps has returned, well I think Sinestro just might have a fight on his hands. By Robert Venditti and Rafa Sandoval.

Wonder Woman #4, DC. This alternating-story structure is working for me. Nicola Scott returns this issue to continue with Greg Rucka’s Wonder Woman: Year One arc.

Old Man Logan #10, Marvel. Logan continues on his not-so-merry way through the present. Brought to you by Jeff Lemire, Andrea Sorrentino and Marcelo Maiolo. Check out the SNEAK PREVIEW, here.
