In a Bat-tastic coincidence, the 1966 Batman movie will be showing here in my hometown of White Plains, N.Y., Saturday night 9/9.

Holy night on the town!
Seriously, how cool is that? Now, the great thing is that White Plains is easily accessible from all over the New York metropolitan area — Connecticut and New Jersey included — and it’s only a 40-minute train ride from Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan.
The movie is set for 8 p.m., to be shown outdoors on Church Street between Main Street and Hamilton Avenue (a short walk from the White Plains train station). There will also be a “Super Hero Show” at 6:30 p.m., followed by a cosplay showcase at 7:15.
Nice touch calling it Gotham City!
Here’s where it gets even more fun: Everyone who wears a costume can get entered into a raffle to win prizes from local businesses. But we here at 13th Dimension will be offering Batman ’66 toy, prop and statue prizes from companies like Diamond Select Toys, NJ Croce and Funko.
What will we be giving away? That’s a surprise. But here are two clues:

Again, admission is free, though the city is asking people to bring canned goods, which will be collected for the hungry.

hey, i’m that kid that was dressed like the green hornet at the event. had lots of fun watching the movie for the trillionth time, lol. though kinda sucked that the prize i got at the raffle (funko bookworm) i had already but still i had tons of fun!
