13 COVERS: A Batty GENE COLAN Birthday Celebration

From Marvel’s and DC’s dark shadows…

LettercolBatman03

Last year, our Gene Colan 13 COVERS birthday tribute focused on Daredevil (click here), what with the Man Without Fear so durn popular these days.

This year? My mind went right to Batman, as it usually does. But then I thought, “No! Dracula!” Then I thought, “Both!”

And here we are. Comics’ maestro of mood was born Sept. 1, 1926, meaning he would have been 90. (He died in 2011.)

So enjoy these shadowy 13 COVERS, from both DC and Marvel

(Don’t see your fave? That’s cool. Just add it to the comments below or in whichever social-media thread you found this.)
